What is concor ro?
It's a simple way to find all files ending with.c.o by concorroing a.c file with an.o file, or by concorreting two.c files of the same nature and matching them together. concorro only works on Windows.
For example, suppose you had.o files with two.c extensions. You could concorro two files to see which are both.c.o :
echo.c > concORRO -o files/$(basename *.o) | find -cocc -name $file -exec concorro -o \ *.o -file $(concopyright text=${f} )
If only one file has.o extension (which I assume most of them do), concorro will match it too instead of just the.o extension:
echo.c > concORRO -o files/$(basename *.o) | find -cocc -name $file -exec concorro -o \ ${f:x*} -x -exec concorro -o.o -file $(concopyright text= ${f} )
How does concorros do what grep doesn't?
Concurros are not actually searching for files, only text. That means for grep to make sense, it needs know some other things, like if the file was last modified, is it a directory, written in UTF-8, etc. It does find these things, but it doesn't actually find all of them. concorro just scans files for them online pharmacy uk prescription so you don't need to know those other things make a successful grep run.
It doesn't check for the existence of files; it just scans through them.
It also checks if something is in the files that it doesn't care about. For example, it only checks the existence of.c and.c.o when looking for.o files, so if there are files named.c.o and.c.o.bz2 that are just empty files, concorro will not search them. The same goes for files being named different extensions than.c or.o; concorro will not be bothered with files that are named the right way even if those files are not actually.c or.c.o.
concurros is fast
Yes it may not be faster, but it is considerably faster than grep. I haven't benchmarked concorros but it probably runs faster than grep even on Linux systems. In order to test on the Windows platform, I recommend using the Windows port of grep.
Does it work on Mac?
The version available on Mac isn't optimized for searching files on Mac and therefore may not run as fast its Linux and Windows counterparts. Also, Mac grep works by finding every file with a given extension and listing those to find the right file, this means that you'll get many files in the result. Using grep on Mac will be slower than using it on Linux or Windows. Also, Mac grep ignores.c files that are empty, which concorros will not ignore. What's the next version?
I'm currently working on another extension that does not just search for files but also handles folders, symlinks etc. and I'll release more in the future so as to allow for more efficient searches (e.g., when using a repository as compared to looking for files in it).
